How long does it take to go through Star Wars galaxy's edge? ›

Although it only takes about 15 minutes to walk the length of Galaxy's Edge, we encourage you to stop and enjoy the various shops and attractions that the Outpost has to offer. If you would like to experience everything at the Outpost, we would recommend devoting at least a few hours for your excursion.

Basic Costs

As of my last update, the experience costs around $200. This price includes the building experience, a custom lightsaber, and a carrying case. It's important to note that prices are subject to change, so it's wise to check the latest information before planning your visit.

You do not need a separate ticket for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Guests with valid theme park admission are allowed to enter a theme park, leave a theme park, and then re-enter the same theme park later in the day or evening. That is a strategy that my family uses on just about every day of our vacation!

The setting of Galaxy's Edge is after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Episode VI). So you won't find Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader roaming the marketplace on the planet Batuu. But there is a good chance you may cross paths with Anakin's grandson, Kylo Ren, or some of his First Order Stormtroopers.

Chewbacca's full title is just "Chewbacca." He is commonly referred to as "Chewbacca the Wookiee" to indicate his species, but his name itself does not include "the Wookiee."

As Wookiees had good relations with Yoda, they welcomed the Jedi Master and clone troopers to Kashyyyk, their homeworld. During one of the Clone Wars' final battles, Chewbacca fought against Separatist droids alongside Republic forces -- until the execution of Order 66.

You'll hear the residents use these common phrases: "Bright suns" = "Good morning" "Rising moons" = "Good evening"

Once you are admitted to Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will not need a separate reservation to enter Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. There is also no time limit to your galactic travels. You are free to explore Black Spire Outpost for the entire time that the park is open.

The land opened on August 29, 2019. Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios was accompanied by the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser themed hotel, which was in operation between March 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.

Cancellations for advance reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Same-day cancellations are not allowed.
